Users review: Quickie Review: After the huge success of Ted, director Seth MacFarlane back to do another comedy film, in which he also stars. His character, Albert, who lives in the West, where everyone and everything is death. He lost his love for Louise (Amanda Seyfried) to Foy (Neil Patrick Harris). With the help of gun-slinging Anna (Charlize Theron), he shall dueling Foy in the battle to win back his love. A million ways to die in the West, is a satirical comedy western, which unfortunately does not deliver consistent quality humor. You'll laugh a few times for sure, but overall it's not the best job MacFarlane. Frankly this is a bad movie that was advertised in the trailer with all the best jokes.Full Review: I love working MacFarlane in Family Guy, my most loved Ted. So I was pretty excited Choiceyesterdaytomorrow To see a million ways to die in the West. By the second half, I realized I was actually bored. It pains me to say this, because I really like Seth MacFarlane's sense of humor, but it's just not a good movie.This is the first time we see in live action starring MacFarlane. We know that he is good with the voice work for the animated characters, but as a live action actor hes not the same level of quality. He actually felt out of place, more like he was in some sketch show. In fact, the entire film feels like a series of sketches, each scene is only set up for a joke. It is then lost in all the gags make this work, that there is no coherent flow of the story. This makes it a two-hour movie feels longer because you just do not know where it came from, and more importantly funny.This jokes arent even that took me to the biggest let down of this movie joke. Yes of course there are a few chuckles here and there, but also have their worst comedy. In no time I was full of laughter. Later in the film, it was dependent on the trunk, fart and poop jokes. Sure, once in a while I can enjoy a joke, but if the whole scene depends on that to get a few laughs, so Im turning my brain off because the author clearly. You know, they ran out of ideas when they resort to laxatives joke. Dear Hollywood, stop the laxative joke, it was funny when I kid.Apart scene from the trailer, there's a cameo and bar fights, which I enjoyed very much to see. I think all Choiceyesterdaytomorrow with high expectations based on Ted will be very disappointed. There are definitely worse comedies out there than this. Still, given the team and threw involved, have a million ways to die in the West have been so much better.
